Jeff Cools Productions uses the Canon T2i for HDSLR shooting when the budget calls for a smaller camera. The Canon 5D Mark 2 and now 5D Mark 3 and also the Canon 7D have been used in video production for a number of years now. Sony's Alpha line of DLR cameras also offer a cost effect way of making videos for broadcast and web videos. Just make sure when you are recording using any of these cameras, use record professional audio on a separate system. We use a 6 channel field mixer along with a boom and up to 4 wireless mics to record professional audio in our video productions here in Arizona.
